Let’s dive in..

As I reflect on my journey, I realize that my life has been a series of bold decisions and relentless pursuits. At 19, I made one of the most significant choices of my life: leaving Wisconsin for California. It was a leap into the unknown, driven by a desire for new experiences and opportunities. The move was both exhilarating and daunting, but it set the stage for everything that followed.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I was always passionate about sports and storytelling (go Brewers!). I spent countless hours watching games, reading sports news, and imagining myself as a sports journalist. When I decided to move to California, I knew it was a chance to pursue my dreams in a vibrant and dynamic environment.

California offered more than just a change of scenery; it provided access to a diverse range of sports teams, events, and media outlets. I enrolled in a journalism program, determined to hone my skills and build a career in sports journalism. While also pursuing a full-time job as a Marketing Coordinator for an Investment firm.

At 21, I decided to take my passion to the next level by starting my own blog, “Curveballs&Culture.” It is a platform where I can share my thoughts on sports, culture, and news, connecting with others who share my interests. The blog quickly allowed me to express myself freely and build a community of like-minded individuals.

My goal remains clear: to work in sports journalism, covering major events and telling stories that captivate audiences worldwide. The journey has been rewarding, but it has also taught me the value of perseverance and adaptability. As I continue to grow and learn, I’m excited to see where my passion for sports journalism will take me next.

In many ways, moving from Wisconsin to California at 19 was the catalyst for my journey. It showed me that sometimes, the biggest risks can lead to the greatest rewards. Now, as I sit in front of my laptop, ready to write my next post, I feel a sense of pride and anticipation for what the future holds. “Curveballs&Culture” is more than just a blog; it’s a reflection of my growth and a testament to the power of following one’s dreams.
